Jan Hooks, who was one of the casts of the show Saturday Night Live, has come back on television. Jan Hooks will be seen on the latest episode of the show 30 Rock playing the role of Jenna’s mother. The character of Jan hooks, named Verna appears to take interest in Jenna for money. In the episode which was aired last night, she was supposed to be returning for rectification. Jan Hooks performed well as a mother who can truly control her girl. Her shots with Jack were excellent. We could just hope she is coming back as a competition to the character of Julianne Moore. I am certain this is not the last time we see Jan Hooks as Verna in the show. Unluckily, Jan Hooks ended up in yet another unsatisfactory episode of 30 Rock.
The episode called Verna was a sequence blending 2 of components of the show: her daughter and Jack’s issues with his mother. Catching the show 30 Rock implies that we will find comical dialogues and unusual jokes, just that it didn’t come up to our expectations.
The episode did not prove to be very good, still it was better than most of the episodes of the current season of 30 Rock. It is always humorous but there is a deficiency of character building and seems to be following a formula. The new cast member can be put to better use as the character has to be better-developed. The time is here to that the stories move faster and include some twisting.
