Californian financier, who once made headlines for the murder of his wife Janie Louise Pang, has died. Danny Pang, who was one of the well-known financers of California, was taken to hospital on Friday upon his illness. He later died in the hospital, told his spokesman. Danny Pang was 42-years-old.
Danny Pang made the headlines in almost every newspaper in 1997 when his wife Janie Louise pang was killed at his home. It was believed that Janie Louise Pang was shot by their gunman.
Danny Pang was also accused of being involved in the Ponzi scheme. Allegations were made against Danny Pang by the United States Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the early months of this year. Danny was charged with changing transaction structure as he cashed 38 checks, each worth US$10,000, in different transactions through friends and family to avoid any transaction reports. He made dealing with Taiwanese and gave them insurances using ‘false reports and bogus documents’ to earn huge investments.
After the US SEC released a report about the alleged financier, an investigation was started by the federal government. At the time of his death Danny was subject of an investigation and also various charges were pending against him.
Danny was a Taiwanese immigrant. He founded the Private Equity Management Group PEMGroup and also remained appointed on the position of Chief Executive of the company for several years.
In 1997, Danny and his wife Janie Louise Pang remained subject of many news headlines when Janie was murdered at their home.
