Jeff Fisher puts on Peyton Manning shirt which exasperated the anger of Titan’s fans who were already highly disappointed by the poor performance of their favorite team. Jeff Fisher was invited on a luncheon and to make a speech in appreciation of Tony Dungy.
Tony introduced him with the spectators. The coaching record of Fisher is pretty good as compared to that of Dungy. But Fisher is not malicious and has unbiased nature. He is always liked by others due to his sense of humor. In order to make people laugh, his hilarious nature forced him to do something comic.
He started to putt of his clothes and the crowd was filled with the feelings of wonder what he is going to do. When he had removed his clothes, it turned that he is wearing another shirt underneath. The shirt was a Peyton Manning jersey. He told the crowd that he actually wanted to know how a winner feels like. The crowd enormously enjoyed the gesture. But it was quite a sensitive issue for the fans of Titans who felt greatly shocked and humiliated on his defeatist manner.
The fan became furious and wanted his resignation. They were of the view that coach’s gesture was a deliberate attempt to resign from coaching of Titans. The fans asked for his replacement with a new coach. But some critics consider the rash response of Titan’s fan as unnecessarily emotional. They say that Fisher’s humorous nature and the purpose of the ceremony forced him to do this. He was actually invited in a ceremony held to appreciate Dungy who is good friend of Fisher as well. So Fisher’s act shouldn’t be taken as offensive.
