
The Sacramento Kings in the NBA draft selected Arizona State University forward Jeff Pendergraph Thursday night. Jeff Pendergraph was selected in the first pick of the second round but was transferred to Portland shortly thereafter.
Nate the father of Arizona State University guard Jamelle McMillan was the coach for the Trail Blazers, to whom Jeff Pendergraph played with at the University.
Jeff Pendergraph a 6-foot-9 forward was the 31st overall pick. The Blazers obtained the selection rights of Pendergraph from the Sacramento Kings after trading guard Sergio Rodriguez and the selection rights of 38th overall pick, forward Jon Brockman to get him not only that Blazers also paid cash as part of the deal. The Blazers also drafted 6ft8 Dante Cunningham from Villanova after obtaining Jeff Pendergraph.
Jeff Pendergraph took part in a pre-draft workout for the Blazers couple of weeks ago as part of a talented group, which includes him and two other players “Tyler Hansbrough” and “Darren Collison”.
During his four year at Arizona State University Jeff Pendergraph was 6th over-all in the scoring list with 1,588 pts and 2nd over-all in rebounds list with 942 pts. He earned his economics Degree in 3 ½ years.
