
Jesusita Fire
May 5, at about 1:50 pm the Jesusita Fire started on Tuesday afternoon in the Cathedral Peak area and now residents of “Santa Barbara” and firefighters are once again entangled in the battle of in surging flames and high smoke clouds. The wildfire season has begun in California the Jesusita Fire has reached at the door step of “Santa Barbara” once again.
According to the reports up till this afternoon the Jesusita Fire has fully surround the mountains frame of “American Riviera” as it had happened in last November, in the last “Flaming season” the Fire extreme more or less 200 homes of foothill.
Firefighters support for a blitz of winds that are gusting more than 20 to 25 mph towards the sea covering about all the mountain range, helicopters are flying and dropping water buckets over the surging flames, almost 70 fire engines are present with hundreds of firefighter and more are on the way from other parts of the country side.
Highway 192 the “Foothill Road” has been closed by authorities and no one is sure that about how much time will it take to open this part of the road, work on all the construction sites near Foothill has been suspended and are hanging with a thread with the threat of fire no residents or emergency crews are allowed to pass through.
Now we have to see how long it will take to calm down the surging flames of the Jesusita Fire as it is spreading along the mountain range and towards “Santa Barbara” I hope they will be able to stop the fire before collateral damage.
