Jim Webb (Democrat from the state of Virginia) responded to the victory of Republicans in Massachusetts and called to the leaders of the Senate to postpone the voting on the legislation of health care bill presented by Democrats until Mr. Scott Brown (winner of the special election of the Senate seat) takes oath into his office.
Jim Webb who casted his vote in the month of December last year in 2009 for the legislation of health care, said in a statement that I congratulate Mr. Scott Brown for his victory. He further added that he is a good addition in the Senate and he is looking forward to perform with Scott Brown but in addition to that he further said that wider insinuations of the results of the Senate election must be taken into consideration by the Democrats.
Massachusetts’s campaign of Senate election became a referendum in several ways not only on the legislation of the health care bill but also on the honesty and openness of the process of our government, said by Mr. Jim Webb in his statement. Respect of the people of the United States has been restored by us in our leaders and in the government’s system which is vital, said by Mr. Webb.
He further added that by coming to my point, I would like to say that I consider that suspension of further voting on the legislation of health care bill must be done as it would be prudent and fair only until the newly elected Senator of the United States Mr. Scott Brown takes oath of his seat.
