Jimmy Sullivan the drummer and the backup vocalist for the band “Avenged Sevenfold” died Yesterday on Monday at his home in Southern California home.
The death news of 28-year-old Jimmy Sullivan was confirmed by the police department in a statement. The statement was released by Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo that goes something like this, James Owen Sullivan stage name “The Rev” appears to have died of natural causes this Monday afternoon in his Huntington Beach Home.
Huntington Beach police department were notified by the fire department officials who had responded to Jimmy Sullivan’s home about 1:05 P.M in the afternoon.
In a statement release by the Band on their website they have said that, it is a time of great sadness and with heavy hearts that have to announce the death of Jimmy Sullivan. Moreover in the published statement Band Members have mentioned that Jimmy was the best drummer of the world, but more importantly he was a best friend and brother.
They said that their thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy’s family and that they hope fans will respect the privacy of the family in this difficult time.
In the last line they said that “Jimmy will be with them forever and they love him.”
The group that formed in 1999 had won the Best New Artist’s MTV Video Music Award back in 2006.
Jimmy Sullivan, survived by his wife Leana MacFadden. The Band Members include Zachary Baker, Matthew Sanders and Jonathan Seward.
Orange County Coroner’s office is investigating the death of Jimmy Sullivan.
