In “Irving, Texas” the special teams coach for “Cowboys” Joe DeCamillis was injured when the roof of indoor practice facility of the team was ripped apart during the rookie minicamp the gust of winds injured 11 more in the accident. The officials, media and facility counting coaches and other team personals including 27 players were present and working out in the area on Saturday at the time of the accident. There were 70 people present in the area when storm hit injuring 12 people according to the officials coach Joe Decamillis sustained a neck injury according to Cowboys coach Wade Phillips. He said “Few of players sustained minor injuries” he also said that “Joe DeCamillis” the special teams coach was moving his hands and he was talking, before leaving for the hospital.
Head for EMS (Emergency Medical Services) for Dallas told that no one including the special coach is in life threatening situation.
The building which was trashed by the storm was built by first season coach for “Cowboys” Bill Parcells in 2003, the building was so large that it can be seen from a long distance the building looked like a big white tent.
After the accident Joe DeCamillis was taken to the hospital on a stretcher while he was wearing a neck brace.
Irving police spokesman “David Tull” said “The nearby area didn’t have any reports of structural damage neither we found any other damage than this particular location”.
Wade Phillips head coach for the team said that a couple of players did received minor injuries but they are fine he also said that we are lucky not to be get electrocuted as all the water came in the building.
After the accident the Sundays session was canceled as it happened on the second of three scheduled days of practices.
