There are many movies in the world that are based on a simple story but they are memorable due to some reason or message in the movie, even though the movie might not have received good response from the public in terms of box office collections. John Q is one of those types of movies. This movie is basically about the love of the parents towards their children. The film is about an African American John and his family. He was having some quality time with his wife and watching his son play in the field. Suddenly his son fell onto the ground and later on the doctors told that he has an oversized heart. This is a really serious cardiac problem. John believed that his son would get totally alright as this is curable and he has a valid insurance policy of his son. When he contacts the insurance company he comes to know that he would have to pay seventy five thousand dollars from his own pocket. John was pretty upset from the whole situation and he started collecting money but lacked funds.
The movie John Q shows John in a very disturbed state of mind and he decides to take the law in his hands, he goes to the hospital and makes some people hostages and asks the doctors to operate his son. Later on he decides to kill himself in order to provide his son with a heart, but at the last moment he was stopped when he was told that they have found a heart for his son. The movie John Q revolves around human emotions.
