Jonathan Banineaux, 28 year old National Football League defensive tackle for Atlanta Falcons was arrested during a routine traffic stop for carrying marijuana with the intentions to distribute. A police officer has reported that Jonathan Banineaux was charged for the possession of marijuana more than 1 ½ ounce considered as for distribution purposes. He told that Jonathan Banineaux car was searched after smelling marijuana and it was present there.
Jonathan Banineaux was taken to the Gwinnett County jail from where he was released for a $5700 bond.
Jonathan Banineaux was accompnid by a 25 year old Aaron Robinson Minneapolis. Both were arrested around 10.40 pm and charged with the crime of carrying marijuana with intent to distribute.
Jonathan Banineaux has the plan to meet his team officials on Friday morning. The team management has stated that they are well aware of the happening with Jonathan Banineaux and gathering information about the situation. They avoided further comments by saying it a legal matter.
Jonathan Banineaux was also charged for driving with expired license and violating traffic rules.
The police officer told that they stopped him due to the traffic rule violation and smelled marijuana in the car; they searched and found dry cut pieces of marijuana.
Jonathan Banineaux was arrested before in 2007 at that time he was charged for killing his girlfriend’s dog but the case was dismissed after nine months.
Jonathan Banineaux ruled out the charges and his lawyer said that the dog was getting aggressive and Jonathan Banineaux was trying to save him from dog, he didn’t did anything intentionally.
