The Xavier s couldn’t make it to the final four but they did they’re level best and at least made it to the third round or the sweet sixteen as it is better known. The NCAA Mens Basketball tournament saw a lot of activity over the past few days as the regional semi-finals kicked off and saw some very unexpected teams making it through while booting a couple of high seeded teams in the process. The Bulldogs from Butler University also left the audience in a stupor as they defeated a high ranking team of Syracuse in the last few minutes of the game so with results like that one would think that anything is possible, well at least one would want to think it for the Xavier team, for which Jordan Crawford put forward such an amazing performance.
Jordan Crawford, who has been stunning in the last few games, scoring a total of fifty-fifty five points for his team in the initial two matches that got them to the third round, was a bit disappointed when his team lost to Kansas State but there is one thing that he can be proud of, he gave them a really good run for their money as the match went into overtime not just once but twice. One of the reasons that they got so far was because Jordan Crawford had dunked in the last few minutes and then made a staggering thirty-five foot shot which made it to tie it for the second OT.
The game ended with the score of 101 to 96 for Kansas State and though they might be going home after making it so far the Xavier team will know that they put up a tough fight for their competitors.
