The 21 years old Hiker lost his life in Weminuche.
The body searched by the Rescue workers of Joush Gulvas 21 year’s old hiker. He has been lost since Tuesday in the Weminuche Wilderness northeast of Durango.
The spokesman of La Plata Country Sheri’s Office told that the Rescue teams were able to find his body around 2 and 3 pm at the bottom of a 300 foot cliff near headwater of Virginia Creek drainage. The poor boy fell in his death about seven miles north of Lemon Reservoir.
The information and confirmation of the death has been communicated without delay to the family and friends after the body was located and found.
A number of friends and family members had rushed to Durango to assist with the search. A base camp just north of Lemon Reservoir was their station.
Dan Smith, an outfitter who assisted with the search, succeeded to found the backpack on rigid line. The food and other supplies were present in the backpack. The body was found by a helicopter hovered around the area, about an after the backpack was found.
Since Tuesday the heavy storms accompanied by strong winds were visiting that area. he would have been blown off in one of those storms or fell down. God knows better.
His father told before the body found that Josh was experienced in the outdoors, but he wasn’t capable for the high country. So Hugh country turned to take his life.
Josh’s parents expressed their gratitude for the Rescue team, who put themselves in trouble and discomfort for around three day to find another human being.
