The New Adventures Of Old Christine – Season 5 premiered with the strings attached to where the season 4 ended. One of the main characters is Julia Louis Dreyfus who plays Old Christine. She is a single parent and earns her living by running a fitness business with her friend Barb. The role performed by Julia Louis Dreyfus very well. She is hilarious, witty, intelligent, emotional and depressed in a span of few minutes. Her performance of swinging moods is what makes the character of old Christine so lively. As the season premieres Gay marriage between Julia and Barb which was basically a smokescreen to get Barb a visa, is at doldrums. She resorts to a therapist for her relationship difficulties and has to bear the loss of her health insurance.
In the real life Julia Louis Dreyfus is an environmental activist, so much so that she has transformed the whole set of The New Adventures Of Old Christine into an environmentally friendly set. Each light bulb is an energy saver- low carbon emitting one. She also tried to eliminate water bottles from the sets but was not successful, she is adamant to try it again as the season 5 starts. She actively advocates, saving the oceans from pollution. She is of the view that oceans play such a big role in controlling our climate that everyone should be aware of the ways to protect them.
Julia Dreyfus is all set to appear in some shows of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
