We have got reasons to call MTV VMAS Awards night one crazy show as the show brought many wild moments from some celebrities. Remember Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech? Celebrity wars are nothing new to us. We see and read gossips all year round about the celebrities calling words at ach other and giving their peers a bad name through different (read political) tactics. But what we saw in the Sunday night show of MTV Awards was a rare scene. Firstly, the cameo of Lil Mama was completely meaningless and then the insane act by the singer Kanye West at Taylor Swift! This years MTV Awards 2009 sure brought lots of ‘entertainment’ for its viewers.
Taylor Swift, our very own sweetheart, won the MTV VMAS 2009 award for best female music video. A smiling and very, very excited Taylor came on the stage to take the award and the moment she was about to start her award acceptance speech Kanye West appeared on the stage out of nowhere. Mr. West took the microphone from her and bluntly said that it’s not she but Beyonce which deserves this award and left a surprised and confused Taylor on the stage. Kanye then left the hall escorted by guards. Taylor on the other side was baffled but the crowd started clapping for her and cheering her. She started again to deliver her acceptance speech but the audience couldn’t hear her because a pre-recorded skit was being played in the background screen.
Kanye West not just interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance but also lost her moment of happiness and excited leaving a rather confused Taylor behind him on the stage. Alter, Kanye West apologized for his words on his blog.
