Karate Kid Remake would be named as “Kung Fu Kid” and is expected to be released in 2010. Karate kid remake, very heavily borrows the elements of plot from it s predecessor. Jackie Chan would be playing the role of Mr. Miyagi and Jaden Smith is the Karate kid, now Kung Fu Kid. Jaden Smith is Will Smiths’ son. Will Smith will also be featuring in the film. Original film was a hit and won many awards including an Oscar for the best supporting actor role. The cast and the director would be under great stress to make the sequel up to the repute of its predecessor.
Dre is a small kid. His family is moving to Beijing – China. Beijing has been chosen intentionally to mingle the elements of both the cultures. Moreover, Jackie Chan’s character suits Chinese environment well. As the family moves to China, Dre gets admission in a local school. Unfortunately the child finds himself in bullies and has to undergo harshest bullying.
This makes him to be trained by Kung Fu Master- Jackie Chan. The child learns that there’s more to martial arts and Kung Fu than fighting alone. In the start the kid cannot understand the ways employed by the master to teach him the art, as he has to do mundane tasks.
The name Daniel has been changed to Dre in the remake. While the movie is much awaited by the action films fans, Will Smiths presence in the cast is making big splashes, with his fans vehemently opposing his appearance in the film.
