General Karl Eikenberry US representative in Afghanistan, comes up with a different strategy to stop insertion of military in Afghanistan at a time where Obama’s Government is again thinking very seriously about sending more troops in Afghanistan for the stability of Afghan Government.
General Karl Eikenberry was also remained in Afghanistan on a very important portfolio of Top military commander of US troops in Afghanistan. He said it can never be a good idea to send more troops at this point of time. He also expressed that the Afghan Government has showed his clear and confident intention to control the corruption which is fueling Taliban to strengthen their feet again.
The statement given by US ambassador in Afghanistan definitely boiled the blood of commander of NATO forces Gen McChrystal, who has already forwarded his requisition for additional 40,000 US troops to be sent in Afghanistan, there are already 65,000 U.S troops present on Afghan grounds. UK army commander and politicians also backed the decision of Gen McChrystal’s aggressive strategy to deploy more troops in Afghanistan.
Gen McChrystal has a plan to enter more troops in Afghanistan to penetrate town to town and village to village to dilute the Taliban’s strength and domination.
Obama’s Government provided few options to Gen McChrystal to think on.
- To send around 10,000 troops to train Afghan forces.
- Deploy 20,000 extra troops in Afghanistan or send 30,000 additional armed force
- Send 40,000 troops as per the requirement of Gen McChrystal.
Obama is again in a bit of confusion to decide, every eye on his administration that what they will do and how successfully….
