Kathleen Savio

Kathleen Savio was the third wife of Bolingbrook’s ex-police sergeant Walter Drew Peterson she was found dead in an empty bath tub in March, 2004, three years later he gained attention when his fourth wife Stacy Peterson disappeared in the October of 2007.

One and half years after the disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy he was being arrested on two counts of murder by the Illinois State Police area and the bailing bond will be of $20 million, he was arrested in connection with the death of Kathleen Savio his third wife.

Peterson was arrested about a mile from his home, soon after more than six police cars and an evidence police vehicle were at Peterson with a search warrant. James Glasgow the Will County’s State Attorney told the press that the judge has granted his bail request for $20 million.

Illinois state police told the press that Drew’s children are in the care of his older son Steve, according to his wish. Capt. Carl Dobrich with Illinois State Police told the press that Walter Peterson was transported to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Talking to the press Nick, the brother of Kathleen Savio said that even though this is just an initial step but our hopes are high that justice will be served this time and finally my sister’s soul could rest in peace. Kathleen Savio’s father told the press that Police called him to inform him about the arrest of Walter.

Talking to the press Peterson said that he was expecting the arrest for some time now as the police set a news release some time ago that arrests will be made in Kathleen Savio’s case.

Kathleen and Peterson had two children together where as Stacy his fourth wife and Peterson had two more children Stacy was 30 years younger than him.

In the winter of 2008 Peterson once again found tabloid fame when he and Christina Raines his new girlfriend announced that there are planning to marry, and she has moved in with him, put after an irritating response from Christina’s father she has moved out of Walters home. Walter resigned from the police department after the sudden disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy.

Before this he was only arrested for a gun charge, he claimed that he owned the rifle but the barrel of the gun is shorter than the banned height. The charge was later dismissed.
