Kathy Griffin’s appearance at the Apollo Theater in Harlem last night was no surprise, as she posted on her website in March that she will be making an appearance at the legendary Apollo Theatre. Kathy Griffins did not do as well as anticipated. The diva Kathy Griffin from “My Life on the D-List” has performed yesterday at historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, she thought that performing there make her popular, beloved and admirable in the black community but, she must have been dreaming.
The other acts included rapper T.I and Katt Williams, the interesting thing about the show was “all group of kids” were sitting in the front, “did you get the feel”?
Well as for me I am not going to blame Kathy Griffin; I must say Apollo Theater management must be blamed for that, anyone who has seen her show, should know that she does not do any PG shows and the person who booked her should have considered this before booking. I believe she has done what she came to do, so she must not be blamed.
However I seemed like Kathy Griffin Apollo Theater appearance was not a special one, as most of the people in the crowd were white, whereas black and Latino people “Apollo’s real audience” were not present in a large number.
