They call him “The Funniest Doctor in America.” And man! they are every bit right. I can recall one of his clips in which he is doing some pep talk with a woman in the conclusive state of pregnancy. As she asks about how long the process of delivering the baby would take, Ken is just hilarious in telling the anatomical differences of the woman of different origin and that’s why the process is more difficult for Asian woman! Ken Jeong is Ken Jeong MD. As the call of nature would have it the former physician chose comedy and acting as his true talent to be pursued.
Dr. Ken Jeong was born in North Carolina and is a Koran American. His father was a Professor. During his child hood he was a member of High IQ team. As he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina he started to hone his comedy skills. His comedy career took a big boost as he won Big Easy Laff-Off. The judges of the competition were so impressed by the performance that they advised Ken Jeong to try his skills in L.A.
As he moved to L.A, he started doing comedy regularly at the local clubs. His background in medicine and his comedy style got him roles in popular shows like “The Office” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. He has also appeared in many films in supporting roles. His debut in films came with the film “Knocked Up”. He has two daughters and his wife is also a doctor.
