Kevin Garn, who is the house majority leader, told the legislature some piece of news that would have on any other day concluded in his ousting but the way that he came forward with it only got him respect from his fellow colleagues as they could be seen hugging him after he had delivered the short, prepared speech confessing activities with a girl who had been only half his age. Kevin Garn told the house that not so long ago in the annum of 1983 when he had been twenty-eight years of age, he go involved with a girl by being in the same hot-tub as her and it was inappropriate as she was a minor.
The girl came back to haunt the life of Kevin nineteen years later in the annum of 2002 saying that she would go public with the incident if Kevin Garn didn’t give her the money that she asked for and so under pressure Kevin paid the woman a hundred and fifty thousand dollars, which he thought would help the woman’s situation. He came forth with this information eight years after he had paid the money to the woman and acknowledged that he should have come out with it sooner, in fact, right after the incident had happened.
The family of Kevin Garn were aware of this situation and they had come to accept it, he said that he hoped that his fellow colleagues could do the same. He opened up to the public after the incident resurfaced recently as the woman went to certain reporters and told them what happened bring the incident back to life. Kevin was of the view that it was better for him to come out than to live a life of fear and that he had come to realize that paying that woman was a mistake to begin with.
