Libyan dictator, Khadafy, symbol of lie and conspiracy delivered a long, confused speech on Wednesday at the United Nations — Moammar Khadafy – a one-time supporter of terrorists with unspeakable human rights record – smashing the international body for failing to avoid “65 destructive wars”.
Like other world leaders, the desert loon, Khadafy, was only allotted 20 minutes to speak but he spoke for approximately 100 minutes – almost five times longer than his allotted time. Khadafy’s incoherent speech has a stunning impact, almost half of the spacious chamber, filled for President Obama’s first speech to the UN General Assembly, vacated during his speech. Delegates’ faces seemed angry, fatigued and questioning.
General Assembly President Ali Treki introduced Khadafy as the “king of kings.’’ But Khadafy, during his speech, proved himself as an embarrassment and confusion obsessed the half emptied chamber. There was nothing remarkable in his speech. It was just crazy fanatical, unsurprisingly. It was just some chosen pieces from Foreign Policy, there was no arranged text and he was not reading from the TelePrompTer.
Khadafy started railing against the UN’s ruling organization, slanted toward the five permanent personalities of the UN Security Council. He used the title “the parliament of the world’’ for the General Assembly that should be prescribing determinations to the Security Council.
Delegates walked out on Khadafy speech. There was incredulity and skepticism about his words, some were laughing or smiling.
Tan-colored robes and black top with a glossy black pin in the form of Africa pinned over his heart, Khadafy depended upon a number of handwritten pages to deliver this long time speech, but he couldn’t say a single word of conviction.
