King County election results so far are vehemently in favor of Dow Constantine. However his opponent Susan Hutchinson was not losing heart and advised her supporters that there was a long way to go. As the tally of King County elections on Tuesday gave Constantine a superiority of 14 points, the news is not at all good for Hutchinson and her supporters. Though the official results of King County elections would take some time to be announced, Constantine is already celebrating the victory. He was sure when he announced that people have spoken loud and clears about the course of future. Though the executive position for which the election was held is considered non-partisan, both Constantine’s and Hutchinson’s stand was in line with the parties they come from. Constantine was supporting liberal views and said that the conservative views of Republican’s like Hutchinson would not suit King County; on the other hand Susan Hutchinson blamed Constantine and his party for the economic mess.
The executive selected would be effective six weeks earlier as Ron Sims has vacated the position, to pursue his duties in Obama Administration. Constantine remained confident about his victory and announced the formation of a team to see his transition to the office with next 2 days.
The job would be requiring mammoth tasks from the person elected. He would have to deal with the economic recession and all its effects. There is a danger of flooding and above all the hanging sword of H1N1 Swine flu and making the vaccine available to all the residents of the county.
