Like any other horror movie that thrills you to the core, Lake Dead is one that might just leave you sleepless at night. The movie was released as part of the After Dark Horrorfest which is also better known as “Eight Films To Die For.”
It is a movie that was directed by George Bessudo who is an American director for whom this was a debut production Lake Dead was produced by four producers; it was released in the eleventh month of the annum 2007 at the second annual show of the After Dark Horrorfest.
The plot of the movie is relatively simple when it comes to creating suspense. Three siblings, Kelli, Sam and Brielle inherit a piece of land which has a motel on it which goes by the name of Lake Motel. The sisters want to make money by selling it because they are not satisfied with their current jobs. The three make a plan with their friends to visit the motel to assess how much money they can get from it and to have a nice time. All the while their father is dissuading them from going for some reason that is unclear in the beginning.
After reaching the motel, which is in the middle of nowhere, the suspense of Lake Dead takes off as people slowly start falling victim to the uncanny resident ghouls of the motel. The first to die is Sam who is having wine by herself in her room when she is suddenly attacked by an inbred duo. They tie her up to the chair and afterwards to a concrete block only to drown her in Lake Dead.
