The New York Yankees are going behind the trade of Lance Berkman in order to take him into their team. The Yankees were very close to finalize a deal with the Houston Astros in order to take Lance into their team. According to some sources the deal was not finalized but the Yankees are looking forward to have him in their team. The trade between these two teams was expected to take place today before 4 pm after which the time for trading players will be finished. The Yankees have taken a talented player into their team through a trade with the Cleveland Indians. Austin Kearns is the player that the Yankees have acquired from the Cleveland team and another player who has been sent to the team of Cleveland has not yet named in front of the media.
Berkman was expected to be in the team of New York Yankees till now but according to the situation the Yankees could not assign him into their team. According to Lance Berkman nothing has been finished yet. Berkman was playing a game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday when the news of being traded to the Yankees reached his ears. According to the sources if this deal will be done then Lance will be playing in the team of Yankees after few days. Lance Berkman will become the player of the Yankees giving them some extra man power to win the next championships.
