Lara Bush Killed a Guy – The Facts
Lara Bush did kill a guy and it happened when she was 17. The poor guy was Michael Dutton Douglas. Lara Bush (then Lara Welch) was driving on Texas roads in her Chevrolet sedan. It was the 6th of November, 1963. Lara Bush drove into an intersection on State Highway 349 when she couldn’t stop her car on a stop sign and crashed into a Corvair sedan. The Corvair was driven by 17-year-old Douglas. It is reported that Douglas, who fell out of his car, broke his neck and succumbed to his injuries. Laura Bush and another passenger of her car Judy Dykes also received injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Reports tell that Lara Bush was driving her car with a speed higher than the legible speed. The highway allowed a speed limit of 55 kmh. The accident occurred around 8 pm and it was a clear night.
No charges were filed against Lara Bush as she was under 18.
It is said the guy Lara Bush killed went together to Robert E. Lee High School in Texas. It is also said that Douglas was an attractive and intelligent guy who was also nominated as the most popular student of the school while he was a junior.
