Laura Dekker wants to be the youngest sailor to sail around the world. Laura Dekker’s boat Guppy is still moored at its usual berth but child is missing. The authorities have shown concern over Laura Dekker’s missing.

The spokesman Bernhard Jens commented that they are not suspecting any criminal activity behind the missing of 14 years old Laura Dekker. Laura Dekker has planned to sail solely for her expedition in September but Utrecht District Court barred the young lady to voyage for concerns about her safety. Laura Dekker was under state care after the court decision. The court placed young Laura Dekker under state control up to July 2010, but she was allowed to live with her parent.

The police have issued a missing warning for the airports of the neighboring countries.

Miss Laura Dekker was disappointed at court’s observation according to a spokeswoman of Laura Dekker but she still could manage to set the record of youngest sailor if she plans to sale next year.

Laura Dekker was born off the New Zealand coasts in a yacht that was on a seven years world cruise. Born on a yacht Laura has had her own yacht at the age of 6 and she went sailing alone from the age of 10.

Her father Dick Dekker was a great supporter of her dream but her mother had shown some concerns. Laura Dekker had planned to spend around two years in her 8 meter long boat sailing around the world to break the record of youngest sailor, Mike Perham, from U.K.

Circumnavigating the world had been a dream of people since centuries. Laura Dekker’s obsession with sailing might have urged her to break the taboos and sail her dream. Laura Dekker has reportedly left a letter for her father.
