At least two people and more than 60 horses have been killed when fire tore out a barn in a raceway in Lebanon, Ohio.
According to the details, around 5 a.m. in the morning a passerby noticed smoke emerging from the horse barn. He called the fire department or help. When the fire fighter arrived, the fire had engulfed the barn completely. Within minutes, the roof of the barn started collapsing. It has been reported that the barn had an old structure and was made of wood and wrapped with a sheet of metal. The fire turned the barn into an oven. More than 65 stalls of the barn were covered with fire and all of the 65 horses in those stalls were killed. There were 80 stalls in total in that barn. Fire management crew says that other barns are safe and they have kept fire flames from spreading to neighboring barns. Two people have also been killed in the raceway fire. The killed persons could not be identified. The officials say that autopsies would help recognize them.
