The story of “Leta Cordes”, a 49 year-old lady who had been missing since 11th January, 2008 is being presented on Dateline NBC tonight at 8PM. The story includes the interviews with family and friends of “Leta Cordes”. Leta was last seen by her husband while leaving for the Westin Hotel casino. She never made it to the casino as surveillance tape provides the evidence, and no eye witness was found who has seen Leta Cordes at the casino.
According to the husband of Late Cordes, Frank, she left their vacation home building at St. Maarten, the area of Dutch Caribbean region. Late Cordes planned to reach the Westin Hotel Casino on foot as it was on the walking distance of about half a mile. Clue of her was never found ever since. Frank also told the authorities that her wife “Late Cordes” was wearing black laced sandals of around $200, a blouse with jean shorts. She also has her driver’s license with her but her passport was at their home, she did not have any mobile phone either.
According to the investigating authorities “Leta Cordes” originally from Orange County, U.S was last seen on Friday walking into Westin Hotel casino. Police have used the sniffing dogs to find the clue of missing woman but no success was reported yet. Officials say that “Leta Cordes” was living in St. Maarten, whereas the relatives and friends told the news paper that Lata has been visiting the islands for past 10 years.
Cary Hostein a friend with the family says that on the return of Leta Cordes and her husband Frank from the dinner she had planned and left their vacation home for the casino to gamble.
