The Late Show hosts vowed not to publicly discuss matter of his sexual interactions with his colleagues any more, for one thing people loathe him for his relationships and his disclosure. It seems that after getting his public image tarnished the host is facing difficult times at home.
He was on air Monday night, for the first time after he confessed his relations with the staffers. He told his viewers that his wife Regina Lasko has been badly affected by the event and is under great stress. He said that he would try his best to mend the rift. The people who attended the show were of the view that he seemed earnest in his efforts and seemed disturbed that his relations with his wife would suffer as the result his disclosures. He exclaimed that it’s cold outside and as he entered his home he had to face a cold behavior of his wife. He took some 15 minute of the show to apologize for his actions.
Letterman’s apology came after he was blackmailed for his sexual interactions with his coworkers and he was asked a sum of $2 Million. Letterman instead opted to testify before the grand jury and disclosed his relationships.
Police has caught a suspect in the case but the suspect has pleaded not guilty.
While the audience sensed the sincerity behind the apology, he was criticized for not being able to tell his version of the story and what went wrong.
