Having just downloaded a leaked track from Lil Wayne’s Rebirth titled “Drop The World”, I can certainly confirm the credibility of the news of Rebirth’s leak. “I’ve got ice in my veins/Blood in my eyes/Hate in my heart/Love in my mind”. Media is pointing fingers towards “Amazon” for Lil Wayne Rebirth Leak. Apparently the copies were sold to the customers who have booked the album before its official release. Amazon has not cleared its position regarding the leaked copies as yet. Though the tracks from Rebirth can be downloaded from the net, the album is set to hit the markets on 21st December.
Reportedly the album has been through manufacturing and retailers have received their share already. Assuming Amazon had received the copies, it would have distributed the album to the fans who had sent the request to receive the album asap.
Unfortunately this type of error is not uncommon. Several artists have complained the leaks of their albums previously including Rolling Stones.
Lil Wayne is hugely popular among his fans and his albums are most anxiously awaited. Listening to track mentioned above, I failed to get the impression which his albums like “Carter III” made. However “Drop The World” is just one track, I do hope that the overall effort is very well received.
Reports are that other tracks are also available at file sharing sites like “Prom Queen”
Rebirth also carries a special importance for his fans as starting from January Lil Wayne is serving one year term in jail.
