Lisa Ling’s Sister Kidnapped

Lisa Ling’s sister kidnapped by North Korea armed squad yesterday on 2nd June 2009 Tuesday. The sister of Lisa Ling a TV personality/Celebrity who is an American journalist was kidnapped by North Korean armed squad for interfering in a prohibited area. North Korean government has admitted to capture two journalists from America yesterday. The Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday that Lisa Ling’s Sister along with another American journalist has been crossing the national border with china, when they were captured.

According to the North Korean Central News agency the journalists has been identified as Laura Ling and Euna Lee. Lisa Ling’s Sister and the other journalist were kidnapped or should I say seized by the North Korean Army while they were crossing the frozen Tumen River. Tumen River is situated on the far northeastern border of North Korea and China.

Both journalists Laura Ling the sister of Lisa Ling and Euna Lee were working on a story about people escaping North Korea. The South Korean news Agency has reported that Lisa Ling’s Sister Laura and the other journalist Euna Lee are held in North Korea’s capital “Pyongyang” and there will be interrogated there.

North Korea charged the two journalists Laura and Euna for crossing into their territory illegally whereas other reports of media said that the both women Lisa Ling’s Sister Laura and the other journalist Euna Lee were snatched from the other side of the border which comes in Chinese territory after they have paid no attention to the soldiers of North Korea who were stopping them for shooting video footage. The border between the North Korea and China is very long, absorbent and inadequately marked.

The arrest came in the time when North Korea is preparing to fire a satellite-equipped rocket in next few weeks.
