For those who don’t know—a lunar eclipse occurs when the earth during its orbit comes in between the moon and the sun. The shadow of earth falls on the moon thus, blocking the moon light to emanate. This condition is called lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipse is not as harmful as the solar eclipse because sun rays when get in direct contact with the eyes, lead to inflammation, loss of vision and cancer of the eyes whereas it is perfectly safe to look at the moon. In almost all parts of the world, people find the lunar eclipse as very interesting as it is a chance to see the cloudy image of the moon in the sky with naked eye. A detailed vision can be seen with the help of telescopic glasses or binoculars.
India, China, Pacific Ocean, Japan and North America will be experiencing lunar eclipse June 2010. In Asian countries, the lunar eclipse will be seen twice—once while ht moon is rising and second time when it will be settling down at night. In India, it will begin at half past two in the afternoon and last till half past six in the eve. Whereas, in the western and northern areas of America, the lunar eclipse June 2010 will start at quarter past two in the morning and last till half past five in the dawn.
