Chelsea Clinton gets engaged to Marc Mezvinsky. Former President’s daughter gets engaged to long-time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. The engagement was confirmed by the spokesman of former president. The engagement photos have not been shared with the press so far. The engagement was held in quite ceremony and photos of the event have not been released yet. The engaged couple sent an email to their friends in which they mentioned a possible wedding in next summer.
Marc Mezvinsky, 31-year-old, is the son of former Pennsylvania Rep. Marjorie Mezvinsky and former Iowa Rep. Ed Mezvinsky. Marc Mezvinsky’s parents have acquaintance with the former President Clinton and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. His parents have been quite active in US politics. Marc’s mother Marjorie Mezvinsky lost her seat after representing for one year in Congress. She had to lose her seat due to her favoring of Clinton’s 1993 budget bill which was extremely controversial at that time. Ed Mezvinsky had served a 5-year jail imprisonment for being convicted in a fraud case.
Chelsea and Marc Mezvinsky have been friends since their childhood and had attended Stanford University together. Chelsea, 29-year-old, is now living with Marc in New York where she is also studying at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. She is pursuing a graduate degree while Marc Mezvinsky is working as an investment banker at Manhattan hedge fund.
The former president’s spokesman has told the press that the couple got engaged on Thanksgiving dinner. No further details have been released. It is going to be an interfaith marriage as Marc Mezvinsky is a Jewish while Chelsea Clinton has attended Methodist Church.
