Marie Halley was a murderer; she was born in Blue Mountain Calhoun County Alabama, USA. She was known as “Marie”, Marie`s real name was “Marie Frazier” and she called as Marie Hilley after married with Frank Hilley in 1951. They had two children Michael (son) and carol (daughter), Marie and Hilley were worked and earned a handsome income probably equal to the income of a “Reasonable High Middle Class”. But it might not be enough for Marie Hilley; she had spending habits which often extended her family budget to the limit. Not this, she had a number of affairs and finally caught by her husband on the bed with her boss in 1974.
In those days Frank was suffering from ill health, he got in touch with a doctor for his medical treatment but all in vain. Frank died in 1975 because of hepatitis (reported as official cause) but after examined of Frank`s dead body, high levels of arsenic contamination (A very poisonous metallic element that used in manufacturing glass) was found in his dead body. On investigation, it was clear that Frank was murdered by his own wife “Marie Hilley”. Marie Hilley also tried to kill her daughter (Carol) by using same method but luckily doctors saved Carol in 1979. Marie Hilley was also found in poisoning her other relatives.
Which thing motivated the Marie Hilley to murder? Probably it was wealth. Marie Hilley got the life insurance money of her husband ($ 31,140) and wanted to get insurance money ($ 25000) of Carol as well. Marie Hilley was still bail for her crimes in 1980. By using false name as “Robbi” she got married with John Homan in 1981. Then she used two names “Teri” and Robbi as twin sister.
After a long time police was alerted by her work colleagues that “Robbi” and “Terri” were the name of one person. So police arrested her and started its investigation on which Marie Hilley admitted that she used the name of “Robbi” and “Teri” to save herself from prison.
So Marie was sent to Jail for her cruel crimes. One day she did not come back to open the prison from where she was in prison and died in February 1987 by hypothermia. She was buried next to her husband “Frank”.
