Mark Linkous, a great Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has committed suicide. Known for his clapped work with Sparklehorse, who brought out 4 record albums of creative ambient psych-folk. Mark Linkous also brought out D. Johnston’s 2003 record album Fear Yourself and collaborated with Danger Mouse on Dark Night of the Soul. His accurate age is not known, but he was in his 40s. His family gave a statement that it is with big sorrow that we share the news that our beloved friend and family member, Mark Linkous, accepted his own life today. Linkous’ striking, lush music frequently came from a base of pain. In 1996, Mark Linkous really died for 2 minutes after having a dangerous blend of Valium and antidepressants when on tour in the United Kingdom behind Sparkle horse’s 1995 debut Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot. He cured, but the incident left him halt, he set insensible for 14 hrs, disrupting circulation to his legs. He got a heart attack when medical officer tried to straighten his legs, and got 7 surgeries to save his destroyed limbs.
Mark Linkous last teamed with Danger Mouse and director D. Lynch on Dark Night of the Soul, a multimedia system project that was bound in lawful issues with EMI; just this former week, Danger Mouse and the label dissolved their conflict and agreed to allow the album appear as it was originally designated.
