
Mark Musarella 49-year-old New York City ex-emergency medical technician is facing misdemeanor accusation after allegedly using his cell phone to snap a photo of a female murder victim at a crime scene in March and then posting it to his “Facebook” page.
The retired police officer Mark Musarella working as an emergency medical technician “EMT” until recently for The Richmond University Medical Center Hospital on Staten Island while responded to a call of Caroline Wimmer 26-year-old, at Green Avenue in West Brighton on 30th March.
The woman was found dead in her home with cord of her hair dryer wrapped around the neck Mark Musarella not only took the photo of woman’s corpse he posted the photo to his Facebook page. Aaccording to authorities a 28-year-old man Calvin Lawson has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon.
Edward J. Pavia Jr. the lawyer for Mark Musarella said that due to the fact that Musarella has served the police force as a detective for several years he took the photo following his instincts moreover he said that the appearance of the picture on the social network was not a gruesome act infect it was a technical mistake.
Upon asking the lawyer Pavia that how could a picture by mistake on a social network he said that Mark Musarella was trying to send many other pictures on his “Facebook” account without knowing that the picture was still in his Mobile Phone.
Mark Musarella was fired from his job at the Richmond University Medical Center Hospital, where he was working as EMT after his retirement from the police force.
