President Obama’s sibling, Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo, has finally broken the silence and came in front of the media to promote his autobiography. The book titled ‘Nairobi to Shenzhen’ consists of Mark Obama’s account about his life and his family.
Mark Obama was the child of Obama Sr. and his third wife, Ruth Nidesand. Ruth got divorced from Obama Sr. and Mark Obama moved to United States. He studied in U.S. for several years. He earned his physics major degrees from Brown University and Stanford University and later received an MBA degree from Emory University.
43-year-old Mark Ndesandjo is a businessman and a musician. He resembles a lot to his half-brother President Obama. Mark is currently living in China and got married to a Chinese woman a year ago. He has shares in a local chain restaurant and also teaches piano at an orphanage as charity.
In his press conference, organized by the U.S. Chamber of Conference for Southern China in Guangzhou, he told the media that it was long journey for him before he could say that he ‘proud to be an Obama.’ A humble and modest Mark Obama Ndesandjo did not use his ‘Obama’ name in the promotional posters of his memoire. His memoire, too, skips the part where his sibling Barack Obama was elected as U.S. President. Though the two don’t meet each other very frequently, Ndesandjo said that he has intentions to meet him during his upcoming visit to China to introduce him to his wife.
