The Ed Show became the forum of annoyance when Markos Moulitsas censured the Republican ex-congressman Tom Tancredo. When Tancredo stressed upon the fact that war veterans are highly dissatisfied with the health-care facilities provided by the Veterans Administration. He commented so to prove that the health administration which is run by the government involves bureaucratic snail’s pace and irregularities. His criticism was foiled by the Markos Moulitsas when he remarked that the comment of the republican is merely a myth and is being used to exploit a non-issue to project it as a very “grave” health-care administration of Veterans.
Tancredo was of the view that veterans would prefer vouchers to get private health care. He quoted the opinion of the war veterans that every veteran who met him complained of the poor health administration.
Markos Moulitsas laughed at the comment of Tancrendo which irritated him. He suggested that Moulitsas should by himself talk to veterans to inform him about their opinion. On this comment, Moulitsas said he is also a veteran. Then Moulitsas added fuel to fire by saying, “I did not get a deferment on the excuse of depression to avoid war in Vietnam”. His satire just enraged the Tancredo because he avoided going to Vietnam by telling the doctor that he had a history of depression.
Tancredo asked for Moulitsas’s apology which he refused. Tancredo walked off the show on this humiliating remark. When he left, Markos went on saying that Republican are annoyed by the government policies and programs and always attack workable plans because these are the myths they fabricate and exploit.
