Matt Caps has been traded by the Washington Nationals to the Minnesota Twins. His trade has come as a surprise for many baseball fans as no one was expecting him to be traded. He is a fabulous athlete and his fast ball is feared by almost anyone who is to face him. The Washington Nationals were able to get Wilson Ramos who is a great catcher. Matt Capps was playing for the Nationals on a three and a half million dollar deal for one year. But he is expected to get a big sum around seven to eight million dollars in the coming off season.
Last night Matt Capps cleared his locker and started to get ready to take a flight in the morning. While leaving the team he stated that his former team’s members and other staff appreciate the work that he had done for them. He also stated that they love him more as a person than as a baseball player and that’s what he considers more important, to be a better man than a professional.
He had mixed emotions while he was leaving his former team, he stated that he had kept his mind ready for a trade as this is the way the game goes. On the other hand he stated that he had a great time playing with this team and he shall surely miss the people with whom he has spent the last couple of months. He added that he does not know much about the Twins and he is also excited to join their team.
