Matthew Mercuro, the chief financial executive of a business of teen skateboarder and MTV reality celebrity Ryan Sheckler, were arrested and charged with embezzling approximately $365,000. He was the financial officer for two of Ryans companies and has played a big game in both the companies.
According to the District Attorney\’s Office of Orange County, 35 years old Matthew Mercuro, of San Clemente is accused of 2 criminal acts of grand robbery for acute taking more than $65,000 and $200,000.
He was working for two companies possessed by qualified skateboarder Ryan Sheckler and deceptively he transferred a big amount from the companies to the personal accounts of his wife and one of his friends. The name of his friend is not yet disclosed by police.
His crime came into scene when other executives noticed some variances and 20 years old Ryan Sheckler found out that he has lost $365,000 and just after Matthew was arrested on Friday, September 13, in San Clemente. He worked for the companies between June 2008 and May 2009.
His accusation is planned for Tuesday. If he is convicted of fraud and sentenced, he will face a maximum verdict of 6 years and 8 months in state prison.
Police is looking for the case very carefully and other executives of the companies are asked to cooperate. The investigation and inquires are in process, and police requested anyone with additional information to call Mark Garcia, Huntington Beach police Detective or Ron Frazier, Supervising District Attorney Investigator.
