The first such fatality since 1995 when a 22-year-old man named Matthew Tassio from America was killed during the Bull Run in Pamplona, Spain but this time it was a young Spanish man who was gored to death. It has been 14 years since such fatality happen the bull pierced the lung of the young man with the horn during the customary running of the San Fermin festival. Nine others received cuts and burses in this dangerous race when one bull from the pack break away and charged the runners.
The Spanish man was gored in the neck first and then the horn pierced the lung fatally, while he was running the half mile customary course through the paved streets of Pamplona a town in the north of Spain.
According to a spokesperson for the organizers of the annual San Fermin Festival the man died at the spot after a bull pierced his lung with his horn.
A Television video recording shows that a brown colored animal, which was named Cappucino broke away from the group of six bulls running down the street while others carried on running through the paved streets the separated bull “Cappucino” become befuddled and violent and charged the crowd. One man was tossed into the air by the bull and then put down on the ground while bull constantly charging him. On the other hand, other runners trying to jump over the wooden fence to escape the raging bulls horns. The last casualty occurred in 2003 run when a 63-year-old local man Fermin Etxberri was flattened to death.
