Maxi Sopo was a psycho figure, planning to live abroad, enjoying the days on the beaches of Cancun and nights in the clubs and all his efforts to fulfill these dreams have thrown him in Mexico City jail to spend his days and nights there.
Camaroon-born, Maxi Sopo, fraudster who was on the run from American authorities, has been arrested from Cancun beach after posting and updating his Facebook status about his luxury life, he was living there. This was his first mistake to post his Facebook updates and his second and most dangerous and risky mistake was to add an official from justice department as a friend.
This was the kind of irresponsibility that pushed him into Mexico City jail, where he is awaiting deportation to US for the charges of bank fraud. According to the statement of Federal prosecutors he has taken over $200,000 from different banks and credit unions by fraud, with the help of a friend. He came to US in 2003 and he used to drive an on rent car in Maxico.
US Authorities were investigating the case from months, initially they didn’t find any clue of him on community network sites such as Facebook and MySpace, but they were trying continuously to find out his exact location in Mexico. After long efforts of several months, SethReeg, a Secret Service agent checked the Facebook again and fined Maxi Sopo, with all his dreamy luxury.
Then secret services speeded up investigation and find out the list of his friends where they found an official of justice department and they figured that they can trust the person undoubtedly keep the inquiry discreet. This official helped the authorities to find his exact location and finally he was arrested from Maxico , last month. Mexican police is working on the case, no further details are available.
