Mean Girls is 2004 comedy rated PG-13 for sexual contents. The movie was received very well by the critics and viewers alike. I mean after all it’s a Lindsay Lohan movie! As the film open we see Lohan in her character of Cady going to join high school. As she is going to school for the first and has been taught at her home all her life, she direly needs the help of some close friend. Help arrives in the face of Janis. Janis in her turn has her own agenda to push. There is an undercover group of girls at school called “Plastics”. The group is headed by Regina. Relations between Regina and Janis have gone sour and Janis is hell bent on taking revenge. As Cady falls for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron, Janis convinces Cady to victimize Regina.
Cady goes too far in her efforts that include putting Regina on high calories diet to de-shape her. She sees her efforts as survival of the fittest whereby one can only win by defeating others. As Regina becomes aware of her plan she makes Cady’s “Burn Book” public. Burn Book is a type of journal which contains gossips and the entire secret plans to defame others. As the plans are made public she loses everything she has earned during her days at school, her friends, her love and even her acumen at Mathematics.
This makes her realize about her mistakes and misdeeds. She starts on a mission to make things right.
Film ends with Cady having repaired her relations with Regina and others in class. She is seen in love with Aaron and even as she wins a competition, she distributes the pieces of her tiara in her fellows.
