David Letterman of CBS “Late Show” has spilled the beans about his sexual relations with his coworkers. The names include Merrill Markoe. The event happened as the Late Show host was blackmailed about his sexual relation in a bid to get $2Mn to keep his mouth shut. Letterman instead decided to go public. He shocked his audience by revealing that he has testified before the jury about his promiscuous relationships.
David Letterman has dated with Merrill Markoe in 1980s but the relationship had ended by 1990. Merrill had worked extensively for Late Show. Many of the great ideas that have made the show popular and made Letterman the top host were brainchild of Merril Markoe including the Stupid Pet Tricks. Her work earned her 5 Emmys.
Born in 1948 Merril Markoe’s remarkable career includes prolific writing, acting and doing comedy. Graduating from University of California in Berkeley, she has also won “Writer’s Guild Award”.
If her career is to be summed up in one field it would be writing. She is a real gifted writer. Her articles and columns have appeared in well-known periodicals and newspapers like The New York Times, Glamour, The Los Angeles Times etc.
But her versatility and creativity have no bounds, from radio to T.V. to books to periodicals, she amazes with the energy and talent at her disposal.
It remains to be seen what effect the David Letterman’s revelation would have on Merril Markoe, her career and her popularity.
