Michael Jackson, The late pop icon was finally buried on Thursday night after 70 days of his death, at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, beside his paragons, Walt Disney and Larry Stooge. His casket was opened for his funeral ceremony yesterday evening.
The funereal ceremony started about two hours late than the schedule. It was open only to the Jackson family, along with five of his brothers, his three children and about 200 of celebrities and his close friends. The news media — which have directly covered every phase of Jackson’s life and death, was not allowed to come closer than the cemetery’s main gate, with their cameras. The Los Angeles Police prohibited MJ fans from gathering close to the funeral place and the airspace over the graveyard was constrained by the federal aviation administration. It is being said that a photo of Michael Jackson in his open coffin which definitely will be his last photo, could be worth millions.
According to reports, a makeup artist equipped 50 years old Michael for the final expedition. MJ was decorated with an exceptional wig of long black locks and a pair of white gloves with his signature accompanied him to his grave.
The mystery of Jackson’s burial place became a media obsession weeks after his death. Jackson’s burial was delayed for the final decision about his final resting place though Katherine Jackson would make the final decision. Jackson’s body was kept in a chilled room at the Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn memorial park until his casket was carried by parade to downtown Los Angeles for a public commemorative service in the Staples Center arena.
