Michael Lewis is an American writer and journalist. He was born on the 15th of October 1960.He is a non-fiction writer. His famous books include the new thing, Panic and An accidental Father. Michael Lewis did his high school from Isidore Newman School. He did his graduation from Princeton University in history. In 1985 he did his masters from London School of Economic LSE in economics.
He started working at Salomon brothers and also wrote his life experience in his famous book Liar’s Poker. He also worked for the New York Times. He wrote a book in 1999 about the rapid increasing boom in the Silicon Valley. He explained he role of engineers as well as he investors who played their role in the technological development in his book the New New thing. He used to write a column for Bloomberg in the New York Times magazine.
Michael Lewis is releasing a new book which tells the story of the master minds that destroyed Wall Street. The book The Big Short explains how the Wall Street traders cheated to their own benefit and ignore the financial crises. He explains in his book that the people where given mortgages illegally. One of them he investigated and found that he was earning fourteen thousand dollars a year and was approved for a mortgage of 0.75 million dollars. Mortgages were approved for people with no relevant income source and no down payment. It was a fraud on the part of traders which will now be covered by increasing the tax. He explains how the taxpayers have to take the burden of someone’s fraud.
