Michael Schoeffling or for those female movie fans who grew up in 80’s should I say “Jake Ryan” from director John Hughes’s super hit classic “Sixteen Candles”, well I don’t know about male movie fans but with female fans this name “Michael Schoeffling” from 80’s movie is just like MJ’s name with pop music.
One thing why this name appear in today’s Google trends is because the greatest director of 80’s who created such movies like “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “The Breakfast Club” and “Sixteen Candles, died yesterday in N.Y after a heart attack, he was 59-year-old.
Michael Schoeffling started his career as a male model; his first movie in which he played a brief role with Sean Penn was “Racing with the Moon”, but the film which made him popular in the world of 80’s ladies was “Sixteen Candles”, and that was the proper start of his acting career, although he never hit the A-list in his acting career, but his acting was amazing in whatever movie he appeared in.
He played a supporting role in “Vision Quest” and a lead role in “Sylvester”, he then starred in the movie “Let’s Get Harry”, it was one of those unfortunate films, which had many production problems, but was a very nice action movie.
He acted in “Wild Hearts Cant’ Be Broken” and that was his careers last movie, Michael Schoeffling lives in northern Pennsylvania with his two children and wife, where he works as a woodworker.
Well how do I know so much about him, because Michael Schoeffling is perhaps one of the most popular stars, who have been profiled on several E! Entertainment specials and “What Ever Happened To”.
