Michael Voltaggio took the winning crown and was declared the victor in the finale of Top Chef!
The final episode of Top Chef Season 6 had some surprises in store for the viewers as the Top Chef Finalists received a surprise visit from their mothers. After the surprise visits, the three finalists were ordered to cook a three course meal and the dessert. The finalists were asked to take inspiration from what their moms have been cooking to serve the guests for big dinners. Bryan Voltaggio went for tuna noodle casserole, Kevin played with chicken, and Michael opted to go for the veggie everyone hated in their childhood – broccoli. And the dish declared him the winner of the sixth season. ‘…I’m proud to see my little brother win against me,’ said Bryan Voltaggio.
Bryan Voltaggio and Michael Voltaggio are the two brothers who made to the finale of the sixth season. Both were interviewed about their future plans and it appears that Michaels is seeing himself in Washington D.C. in the future while elder brother Bryan would go back to cook some delicacies for the residents of the East Coast.
The Voltaggio brothers were born in Maryland. At the very young age of 15, Michael started working in a restaurant. Michael Voltaggio has learned cooking under many celebrity chefs and received most of his training in the European continent. Michael Voltaggio has won several awards and honors prior to his appearance in Top Chef. He has been awarded with ‘AAA5 Diamond’ and ‘Mobil Award’. Michael Voltaggio is currently serving in the Dining Room at the Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa.
