Michelle More-Bosko an 18-year-old and wife of sailor William Bosko was raped and murdered back in 1997 by, four fellow sailors named as Derek Tice, Danial Williams, Eric Wilson and Joseph Dick Jr., many referred them as “Norfolk Four”. William Bosko found his wife Michelle More-Bosko dead on the beadroom floor of their Ocean View apartment the couple had shared, when he came back from a deployment, all “Norfolk Four” soon after changed their guilty statements by saying that they were forced to confess, whereas, ex-sailor Eric Wilson was found guilty, but he has never challenged the decision and said he acted alone, instead he implicated the three ex-sailors Derek Tice, Danial Williams and Joseph Dick Jr. on a different incident.
Three out of four sailors remain in jail, the fourth sailor was convicted of raping and murdering Michelle More-Bosko was released on the end of his prison term. This story of horror and crime attracted national interest and several individuals criticized the referring the situation as a miscarriage of justice and called for leniency.
Now yesterday on Thursday after 12 years in jail all three ex-sailors, found guilty in the rape and murder case of Michelle More-Bosko wife of a fellow sailor in 1997 were granted conditional pardons and they will be free by Friday afternoon, the victims family was outraged by this decision and said that government has acted on political pressure.
Governor Tim Kaine granted conditional pardons to all three former sailors, whereas, ex-sailor Eric Wilson has already been freed after completing his sentence, biggest name behind the story in John Grisham, he has been the biggest supporter for all convicts, John Grisham said that releasing them is not enough and they must be declared innocent.
John Grisham, who is well-known for his legal suspenseful story said he is writing a screen play about this case and believe all four ex-sailors are innocent. John Grisham has donated over $350,000 to Virginia Democrats, as well as a handsome amount of over $170,000 to Governor Tim Kaine for his election campaign and otherwise, other than this over 30 ex-FBI agents and several former prosecutors have supported Grisham’s theory that all ex-sailors Derek Tice, Danial Williams, Joseph Dick Jr. and Eric Wilson are innocent.
