Malibu’s most mysterious story is about Mitrice Richardson, a 24 years old girl, who was missed just after being released by police from a sheriff’s station. Mitrice Richardson a black woman of Los Angeles, having no money, to pay her $89 bill about 10 pm on Thursday at Geoffrey’s restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
The story started from an expensive restaurant in Malibu when Mitrice drove there, just 40 mile away from her home. The staff of restaurantfelt that she was behaving weirdly, she even sat down and started talking with a table of six. The owner of the restaurant, Jeff Peterson, said that “There was something a slight strange about her”. She was unable to pay the 89 USD bill, so she tried to call her great – grandmother for the bill payment – but the restaurant staff refused to accept the bill on phone. Peterson said that after observing her condition, they called the sheriff’s department for her safety.
The police found marijuana, a kind of drug, in Mitrice’s car, so they took her in their custody for weed possession & for not paying the bill. Then they took her to Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff’s station, approximately 13 miles away from the restaurant. She was released by police at around 1:00 a.m. and she reportedly had no cash with her.
Her parents are angry and annoyed for the police to release her in the mid night, far away from her car, with no money without any security. According to her family, the sheriff’s station knows that the buses are not available at night from there, and Richardson has not seen or heard by family since Wednesday.
Replying to criticism from Richardson’s family, the Sheriff’s Department protected her discharge in a statement made by Whitmore. He said the department has a series of formalities and checks that are completed before anybody is released and after formal investigation and noting that she was neither drunk nor mentally afflicted.
She is an African-American, approximately 135 pounds and 5-foot-5-inches having curly brown, hair and hazel eyes, wearing a dim shirt and blue jeans, police is looking for her.
